Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan is organizing Summer Restaurant Days from July 10-12 at the Rockefeller Plaza, the second time the event is being held this year.
The earlier event was held in May.
During the three-day Summer Restaurant Days, Rockefeller Center restaurants offer seasonal specials with an outdoor dining and picnic touch.
I got there early today.
At first, there was hardly a crowd (see above).
But word must have gotten around and soon the place was humming with famished New Yorkers and tourists (see below).
Hey, there are limited number of tables where you can sit and enjoy your lunch.
I purchased a glass of Iced Coffee ($3) from Bouchon Bakery (and some free popcorn in the bargain) and also got myself Fried Rice with Pepper Steak from ManchuWok.
