Founded on April 13, 1870, the Met, as it’s popularly known, houses a vast collection of art from every corner of the world.

Suggested Admission Fee – Suggested admission price at the Met is a disgustingly steep $25. But that’s only a Suggested fee, not mandatory.

You can pay what you wish. Do NOT pay more than a nickel (5-cents). If that’s not a steal, I don’t know what else qualifies.

Friday and Saturday: 9:30AM–9:00PM
Sunday: 9:30AM–5:30PM
Monday: Closed (except Holiday Mondays)

Fee includes same-day admission to the Main Building and The Cloisters (museum in northern Manhattan devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe) and gardens. No extra charge for entrance to exhibitions
