Considering how much we all eat out in NYC, Restaurant inspection reports are priceless.
A restaurant with a fancy web site, some orchestrated buzz, a few shiny lights and a glossy front might have a kitchen that’s a nightmare on the hygiene front.
And you’d never know because access to the kitchen is forbidden to you.
It’d sure be nice to know beforehand the Hygiene Grade of the restaurant and the history of the owner’s efforts at keeping the place clean.
After all, who likes to eat at a NYC restaurant that consistently reports live roaches, has evidence of mice or is not vermin proof.
God forbid that you should fall sick because you were unlucky to eat out at an unhygienic NYC restaurant.
